New Shrubs Coming For The Front Yard

May 11, 2016

Good morning.  We're enjoying another beautiful sunny Spring day here in my little part of New England.  It feels so good to look out and see the sun shining.  I can feel my energy level going up.

Wow, what a busy day we had yesterday.  SIL Eddie and his friend came by and did a lot of yard work.  While they were busy working, the contractor came by to see about giving me an estimate for the porch.  I'll have to wait a few days for the figures.

After Joe came home and gave Pogo his turkey treat, Pogo and I went out to do a few errands.  We stopped by Deanne and Eddie's house to pick up Eddie and his friend, and then went to Home Depot Garden Center to pick out some shrubs for the front of my yard.  After checking out everything, we finally settled on one.  Today, Eddie and his friend will go back there and pick up all the shrubs (with the friend's truck).

When we got back to the house, grandson Bobby and Amber were there with the baby, Aurora Kay.  Goodness, Aurora just gets prettier every day!  Her Grandma and Grandpa (Deanne and Eddie) had the whole evening to spoil her while Mom and Dad had an evening out.  Bobby had to work on Mother's Day (he's a chef at a busy restaurant) so he took Amber out to dinner and a movie last night.

I'm not sure what time the fellas will get here this morning, so I need to get busy here and get dressed.  First I have a quick page for you.  This one is a bit different, but I hope you'll like it.

Now I really must get going.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Hi Edna,

Your Quick Page is just beautiful. I love it.

I am just getting up. Cisco and I had a wonderful few minutes of cuddle time this morning. My cousin has me on speed dial or something and she occasionally pocket calls me. I was so aggravated this morning because it was late when I finally was able to fall asleep.
Cisco and I tried to cuddle for a little longer but it was obvious that I wasn't going to go back to sleep so we got up. Cisco has had his breakfast already and I have my first cup of coffee.

It is really nice that you were able to go out and shop for your shrubs and get to see that adorable baby girl. Lucky You! Have a great day! Cisco and Beth

what a lovely surprise you got to see Bobby and little fmmily(specially the little girl of course LOL).
so you had a good outing to the garden centre! I am cirious what shrubs you bought there.
I did yesterday about all the shopping needed, even did some little jobs in the house too and spent time designing at the computer. It was a lovely day yesterday, I think also today still will be nice, may be even tomorrow, then it will be much coler.
Pity, but that's the way the weather here bevaves often.
Think I will wash perhaps a few curtains today, they will be dry quickly if they hang in the sun.
A vacuum cleaning wouldn;t do harm either LOL!
Have a wonderful day, hope your shrubs arrive well .

Thanks dear friend for the lovely Qps I just picked up. Sorry it has been awhile since I've been in to leave thanks. I do read your daily blog. So happy you had such a wonderful Mother's Day, I, unfortunately have been in bed since Sunday afternoon! Guess a bug decided to visit and take me down a bit, but I am up today and am finally able to keep some food down (besides flat 7UP)! I am a bit weak, but feeling oh so much better since the fever broke! My fur babies helped keep me company, just hope none of them come down with it!!! Loved your photos for MD, they were so adorable! I am headed back to lay down for a bit and wanted to wish you a great weekend. We've had deplorable hot and extremely humid weather aiding all the horrible storms, will be glad when Mother Nature decides to make up her mind and behave a bit! Hugs for you and Pogo! Mat
