Ghosties And Things That Go Bump In The House

January 6, 2016

Good morning.  My goodness, it's already up to 16F degrees and the sun is shining.  Today should get up to about 40F degrees.  I hope.  It all depends on which forecaster you listen to.  The trick is to watch them all and then average out all the forecasted temps.  This way, you'll be pretty close.

Pogo and I have finished our breakfast, and I've already called to order another heating fuel delivery.  Now I can settle in and enjoy my coffee.  Er, where did my coffee go?  I didn't think I had drunk it all, but I must have.  Pogo doesn't care for coffee.  Hmmm, I think first I'll go get me  another cupful.

I'm back.  With another cupful of coffee.  I'm going to have to keep my eye on this one to make sure I'm the only one drinking it.  Did I ever mention that this house has ghosts?  No?  Well, it does!  Over the years, several people who have lived out in the main house have said that they have seen or heard ghostly sights or sounds.

In my little part of the house, well let's just say I'm not crazy, but things happen out here too.  No, things don't levitate or anything like that.  But, sometimes there are weird sounds, and sometimes you can feel a breath of air hitting you as if someone or something walked by you.  And, sometimes things get moved.  I've spent many an hour looking for something that wasn't where I had put it, only to find it back in the first place that I looked.  Strange.

Let me show you another super gift that I got for Christmas.  You know, a while back I saw one of these and I wanted it.  Somehow I got side-tracked and never ordered it.

Nani Girl, I love my new mug.  That's what I'm drinking out of right now.  Thank you so much.  Oh, did I mention that my new lens is really a coffee mug?   It even has a cap that keeps the coffee hot, and it's great for travel.

Today I have another QP for you.  Have you noticed that I post them out of numerical order sometimes?  Not to worry, eventually they all get posted.  Holidays, events and weather sometimes dictate which ones I will post at any given time.

Today the weather across most of the country was the deciding factor for which one to post.  I do believe this one is quite appropriate for today.  Seems there's a lot of rain falling everywhere, even in Lola's little town.  And, she's not looking too happy about it!

Hmmm, I just had a sip of coffee, and would you believe?  The second cup of coffee is almost gone already!  I know I didn't see anything touch my mug.  Just me.  Strange.  Do you suppose I really did drink that first cup all by myself?  Maybe it's the coffee.  It's delicious - Nescafe Gold from Holland.  Mmm, mmm, mmm!

Well that's about all that's happening here.  Except for laundry.  You know, I could stay dressed in my jammies and housecoat all week, and there would still be at least two loads of laundry to do.  How is that?  Well, it's okay because laundry is my favorite part of the household chores.

Enough of my babble.  It's time to put that first load into the washing machine.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and dry, and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

I love that thermos! I'd seen one a long time ago and it looks so much like the real thing it's just scary.

That rush of air I have actually experienced. I was eating in a basement of a known haunted restaurant. I wasn't even thinking about that. I was sitting by a closet door. All of a sudden I felt that air.
One other experience which may sound hard to believe. I was working at a pre-school. The other teacher was in the room in a different location. The children were all outside with another teacher. All of a sudden I see a child with dark hair dash by me. I stopped in my tracks and was trying to convince myself that I didn't just see that. The other teacher turned around and asked if I just saw that child run by. She had seen the same thing. Her back was turned to me so she hadn't seen my face. I am not a big believer in things like that but certain situations that I have experienced make me believe a little. Hugs.....now where is my coffee.

My goodness, I love doing laundry! Always have! Don't like vacuuming and mopping. Prefer cleaning bathrooms and laundry. My sister has said she saw our older sister and Auntie Jo in the upstairs window of her home but she remembers all the photos of them so young and beautiful and healthy and I think she wishes they were there with here. Perhaps in spirit they are. Love that coffee mug. I lose my morning cupfull too. We switched to full caf and it is not a good thing for me so I went back to half caf. Too much jittery juice for me! LOL! Have a blessed New Year and stay warm.

First Happy belated Birthday to Jasmine!!
Glad to read your are feeling much better. Love that mug like a photo lens, great gift.
Oh my, do you really like that instant coffee I sent you? May be next year I can send more of it?
Today rain is falling, but next days it will be better again and we still have rather high temperatures. It can go on like this for me!
Good you have nice fuzzy blankets and warm socks to keep you warm.
I love my "lounge wear", I bought in December, all fuzzy and warm, fantastic stuff!
Today Jand and me removed the manger and Christmastree(we let it stay till 6th of January, Three Kings holiday), and now our room looks all as usual again, which is nice too. The thing I miss mkost are the little lights!
Soon will be a nice detective on tv, Father Brown, so will finish now.
If all is okay, I'll be posting again tomorrow.
Stay warm, take good care of yourself, you should get rid of that temperature!
and best wishes to Eddie and Kevin too, hope they will feel fine quickly.
Hug
Kyra
