It's A Perfect Day To Just Be Happy

September 23, 2015

Good morning on this first day of Fall.  The sun is shining, and it is 62F degrees.  In a few hours, we'll get up to about 72F degrees, so it's going to a splendid day here in New England.  Here's an adorable picture I borrowed from the web.  It says it all.

I got up a bit later this morning than I had planned.  Around 4:45 this morning, my little guy decided that he was hungry and wanted to eat.  So, he kept barking at me until I got up and made him a plate of food.  By the time I was able to go back to sleep, there was no way I would be getting up at eight o'clock as planned.  Oh well, no biggie.

This morning, I found a beautiful surprise in my e-mail box.  My friend Kyra made me a scrap page featuring my favorite photo of Michael.  My goodness, what a wonderful way to start my day.   Thank you so much Kyra.  I just love it.

Aside from washing a few dishes and playing on the computer, I've been sitting here trying to figure out what I did yesterday that kept me so busy all afternoon and evening.  Sad to say, I haven't been able to come up with anything so far.  However, I really was busy.  This retirement thing seems to have it's own sense of time.

Later today, DIL Janet will be coming by, so I need to buckle down and get a few things done today before I declare play time.  I also have to figure out what we'll have for supper.  This won't be too difficult because we like a lot of different things.   The hard part will be figuring what to make for Mr. Pogo's supper.

I'm not sure what I did to annoy the doggie gods, but finding tasty things for my little guy is quite a challenge some days.  I wonder, do you suppose dentures would help?  If Pogo had some teeth, he could eat most anything.  Hmmm, such a nice thought, but he has no jaw to hold the teeth in.  Ah well, at least the challenge keeps my brain in tip top shape trying to come up with tempting menus.

One of the things that I did yesterday was to work on my QP's.   I'm trying to make enough of them in case a week comes by that I'm not up to playing on my laptop.   So far, my folder is looking nice and fat.

Speaking of QP's, here is a preview of this week's freebie.  It's a bit whimsical.  I hope you can use it.

I think this afternoon, I might work on a couple of scrap challenges for the Wilma4Ever forum.   They have monthly blog trains, and I thought I might enjoy participating.  It's fun and it's good for my brain.

Well, time is flying, and I really need to do a few things around here.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a splendid day.

Hugs, Edna B.

You are right, it has been a perfect day. The temperature was cool, but not too cool and warm but not too warm ... can't get any better than that. I love your little squirrel and think he has the right idea.

I also like that handsome man on that handsome horse ... Kyra did a nice job on this page and had awesome subjects to work with.

So I am busy every day and couldn't tell you what I do. I just realize that it is evening and then the next thing I know it's morning and then it's evening etc. etc ...
I know I am not wasting my time. I work in the yard and the garden, I drive my family members to doctor's appointments or dentist appointments, I grocery shop, I walk Izzi twice a day at least plus her exercises and we are now playing a little very careful Frisbee. I cook dinner and sometimes lunch for family and myself, of course and the rest of the time is fun and games, like reading a good book, visiting a friend, going out to lunch, doing Bird programs etc., doing my blog. But still, at the end of a day, like you, I can't be sure of where the day went ... must be and old poop thing :)

Glad to see you getting back into your scrapbooking ... you are very good at it. I don't have time to take anything on new at this point, but I will enjoy watching you. I sometimes get behind the 8 ball just trying to keep up with my blog ... oh my. Well, I am going over tonight to visit Izzi's class and make sure that there will be a place for her because I am planning to start her next week. You have a nice evening, Edna ... and hugs to Pogo (I have a cat that eats like Pogo ... or should I say doesn't eat like Pogo. I have finally reached the point of leaving out what I put out until the next meal time and then changing up in hopes that she will eat it ... there's no easy answer)

thanks so much for the wonderful qp! My niece is always in a princess or fairy costume so this is perfect. She loves her crowns too. If she refuses to do something her mother will bribe her by letting her wear her crown, and she'll say yes to almost anything - LOL. she'll be 4 in January and is just so precious. She had her first manicure today (my brother texted me photos). I've only ever had 1 manicure in my life (before my wedding). I guess the times have changed. well my mother being a single parent wouldn't have been able to afford it, but she never had any either, so it was never a thing we ever thought of doing. Kyra's layout is amazing! I'm so jealous of your weather! today was 98 and this the next few days will be around 101. yuck! I want fall!

It is hard sometimes to remember what we did the other day, I know it all LOL!
Your little guy is dertermined to get what he wants, hey? Well, about the same here with my Brodski, although he doesn;t wake me up at night. But I noticed that he is getting a real "pensionado"to, having almost no teeth either. So I must get him catty food that is real soft and in small pieces, and also the sort he likes to eat!!
Glad you liked the laout of Michael. It also was about time I tried my hands on a layout, has been such a long time I did my last.

Jan and I both are having a small cold, meaning our noses are full and sometimes dripping, hahaha, and Jan is coughin a bit because of bit of sore through that itches at times. Oh, it will pass again, I believe we will have some more sunshine the next few days, may be not that high temperatures but still nice weather. Some sun catching will do us good.

Have a nice time with Janet.
Hugs
Kyra
